Les États-Unis ont proposé des amendements au Règlement sanitaire international (RSI) existant qui élargiraient considérablement l’autorité de l’OMS. Cela coïncide avec la rédaction en cours d’un traité sur la pandémie en attente qui élargirait considérablement l’autorité et les ressources de l’OMS. Ces amendements ne nécessitent pas un vote des 2/3 des parlements des États membres pour être adoptés et n’ont donc aucun contrôle, mais changeraient absolument les réponses (et les responsabilités) des États membres face aux futures menaces pour la santé publique ! Ils sont à l’ordre du jour de l’Assemblée mondiale de la santé du 22 au 28 mai 2022 et, s’ils sont adoptés, ils pourraient entrer en vigueur d’ici la fin de cette année.

The U.S. has proposed amendments to the existing International Health Regulations (IHR) that would drastically expand the authority of the WHO. This is simultaneous with a pending Pandemic Treaty being drafted right now that would vastly expand the authority and resources of the WHO. These amendments do not require a 2/3 vote in the member states’ parliaments for adoption and thus have no oversight, yet would absolutely change the member states’ responses (and responsibilities) to future public health threats! They are on the World Health Assembly Agenda for May 22-28, 2022, and if passed, could go into effect by the end of this year.
